Editor Max Brockman presents the work of some of today’s brightest and most innovative young researchers in this fascinating collection of writings that introduce the very latest scientific theories and discoveries. The challenge of this design was to present a science book in “a fresh, new, youthful approach.” I took all of these terms and applied them to the package by way of deconstructing the letters of a classic typeface and taking an untraditional approach to the titling and layout. All of this, added to the stunning science-inspired painting by Rual Perdomo, made for an interesting even surprising outcome.
